Testing of food supplements

LATSERT laboratory:

• is the one of the most experienced testing laboratory in Latvia in the chemical testing of food products, including food supplements, and have an European accreditation in this field for more than 15 years;

• performs testing of food supplements for the determination of:

  • potential contaminants, limits of which is established by regulatory acts, including melamine, patulin, ochratoxin A , heavy metals and others;

  • food additives, including preservatives, sweeteners and others;

  • energy and nutritional value (fats, carbohydrates, proteins, fibre, vitamins, minerals and others);

  • characteristics, confirming the accuracy of the classification of food in accordance with EU regulations;

  • various product quality parameters;

as well as determination of conformity of the packaging of food supplements to the requirements of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and other EU regulatory acts.

Testing of food supplements is carried out by using recognized test methods, thus allowing providing customers with recognized independent laboratory test reports as a proof of product conformity to the relevant EU requirements.
