Latvian Certification Centre, State Ltd. (LATSERT)  is one of the experienced conformity assessment body in Latvia, founded in 1994.  Our main area of activities are assessment of  products and processes - testing, certification and inspection, as well as training and technical assistance in the field of safety, quality and legal provisions.

LATSERT Laboratory  is accredited (LATAK-T-138-) according to the requirements of  standard EN ISO/IEC 17025. Field of specialisation of laboratory is chemical, physical ,mechanical testing of  food, int.al. alcoholic drinks, natural mineral and spring water; materials for contact with food- paper, carton, ceramics, plastics; toys; textiles; cigarettes; fuels- gasoline,diesel,biofuels, marked fuels; denaturated spirits/alcohols; fertilisers; lighters; cosmetic products; child use and care products.

LATSERT laboratory is approved:

¨      according to Art.30 of Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003 relating to fertilisers (OJ 24.6.2006. C 148/2)

¨      accredited Tobacco testing laboratory in EU and included  in the official cigarettes testing laboratories network- EC DG Health and Consumer Protection

Certification Department  is accredited (LATAK-S1-081-) according to the requirements of standard EN 45011/ ISO Guide 65 and is competent to perform certification of products –

food, natural mineral and spring water, toys, fuel, tobacco, cosmetic products, chemical products, textile goods, fertilisers,

-and food processors in accordance with the  BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (Issue 5).

Certification body is:

¨      Notified Body under Directive 88/378/EEC Safety of toys/ Ident.No.1326

¨      BRC registered certification body

Certification department performs an inspection and audit services as well as expertises of products and proceses.

Consultation Centre  deals with training  and consultancy services.

Centre conduct an specialized training programs for various industries and provide assistance and information regarding safety, quality ,legality issues  and development of  quality and safety systems.
